I apologize for not posting in a while. We have had so much going on!

There was another food drive at King Kullen in Wading River, NY that was super successful considering the cold and damp weather. The Ladies did such an Awesome job!! Please check out our photos on our facebook page!

A friend of ours did a local drive at a few karate dojo’s! How wonderful! Well, she first called me up and says, “You know, I was really expecting more but I tried”. My response, your effort, your time, your thought is so appreciated, it’s not about the amount of items you collect! Well, she shows up at our house and let me tell you SHE DID AWESOME!!! I think she even surprised herself. haha

We made a delivery of our last donated supplies to Long Island Council of Churches in Riverhead a few weeks ago!

Together, with community friends, we put together a bake drive! Our dining room table was covered in cookies, pies and other desserts. Too bad my Mom and Barbara were the only ones around, hence no pictures! (haha) All of these desserts along with warm meals and turkeys were taken to the Rockaways for Thanksgiving. There were 15 families helped this year! HOW AMAZING!!!

So now, it is that time of year for Holiday cheer! What better way to feel that cheer than to help the Children affected by Superstorm Sandy and Our Veterans!! With the help of local businesses in our communities we will be collecting the following items:

  • New, Unopened TOYS for CHILDREN ages 3-18
  • GIFT CARDS for Teenagers
  • Deodorant
  • Lotion
  • Nail Clippers
  • Shaving Cream
  • Hand Towels
  • Mens and Women’s Socks
  • Mens Gloves
  • Alarm Clocks

Yes, this list is specific…. this is because we are being asked for specific items and we want to full fill that request! 🙂

All donations are due by December 22nd! Please contact us if you would like to hold a drive or donate. 631-744-6555. Remember, every bit helps.

Peace and Love!

Delivering Started Yesterday

This was not made by me, wish I could remember where it was from. If anyone knows please let me know!

We have found some gas! Now for the delivering. Yesterday Margaret delivered the bread that Kasey, Jenna and Brianna collected on Sunday’s drive at Stop & Shop. The local Shoreham Fire Department is making PB & J sandwiches (that’s peanut butter and jelly) for the workers in Mastic Beach. Apparently what is happening is that as people work on cleaning out their homes, preventing mold growth, and preparing for the Noreaster’, they are not eating! They cannot walk to the distribution centers to get a meal because that would be “wasting too much daylight”. So, that’s where we come in. The firehouse makes the sandwiches and then they have people delivering. If you are interested in helping out, please contact us! I know that they need people to deliver!
We also took the much donated pasta and sauce and our friend Melissa will be making hot meals to distribute to Mastic this weekend! It’s COLDDDDDDD out there! Let’s help our community!

We also need pictures from any deliveries!! Send them my way!
